Here’s an Under the Sea party theme I made for my son’s 2nd birthday party. He’s a July baby so we had the party outdoors. I went all out, it was a ton of work! But I love how it turned out.
My favorite part of the whole party was the cake topper from Cakes and Kids. This was the piece that inspired the whole party.
The “Ocean” jello topped with jello shaped fish was a fun idea but was a little hard to pull off. They ended up sinking into the jello ocean. For the cake icing, I used a piping bag and a small circle tip to make the pearls all around. To get them so round, I pushed in the little points that formed when I pulled the bag away.I created a little printable seaweed decoration to match the party. The fish cookie cutter I used is from Wilton.I thought it would be fun to have hanging tissue globes above the table to create kind of a bubbly look. The dishes and cutlery were all disposable, but they still made a big impact with their bright colors.A happy two year old. The party was a success!
You can get the printable party items here in our shop. (They are slightly different than the above pictures shown, though the colors are the same.)
